Boost Your Child’s Confidence with Hearts for ADHD
Kids need 5 pieces of positive feedback per critique received in order to maintain a positive self concept If you’re parenting a child with ADHD or have ADHD yourself, you already know that critiques come easily and often. From parents, teachers, peers, and self.
One ADHD coach is using Valentine’s day to tip the balance toward the positive. Her strategy is called Hearts for ADHD. She does it from February 1-14, but you can start anytime (Valentine’s Day, perhaps?)
We did it last year in our waiting room. This year you’ll have to try it on your own. Simply write something you appreciate about your child on a heart, and post it around the house for your child to see. Do it daily, and watch your child’s confidence grow.

Give the Gifts that Matter Most on Valentine’s Day. Our Family Therapists tell you how.
You know what they are. Your time. Your patience. Your forgiveness. They are the hardest gifts to give, and the ones your partner and children crave the most. See this post for tips on giving your best to those you love.
