You could protect your child when they were little. Arrange the playdates. Help them figure out what to do. But now that they’re getting older, everything seems overwhelming. Keeping up with schoolwork feels impossible. The social drama is confusing and never ending. The bullying is getting worse as they grow. And your heart is breaking for them.

You wonder why it’s this difficult. You know your child is smart, but their spark is dimming. They aren’t figuring it out on their own… at least not fast enough. You can see it (even if they can’t). Your clever, witty, creative kid isn’t keeping up. And isn’t fitting in. Could they be neurodivergent?

Does my child have ADHD? Is this Autism? Anxiety? All of the above?

I’m Morgan Hull. If you like, I can help you answer these questions. But our work together will be so much more than that. You’ll have a place to express the complicated feelings that come with loving your one-of-a-kind child. You’ll voice your concerns without being judged. And if you’re struggling more with conflict and communication at home than with school challenges, we’ll work on that too.

Morgan Hull, Art Therapist

I’ll give you concrete strategies to connect with and help your struggling child. I’ll show you the signs of hope that are already there. You’ll start to see new growth and strength in your child. And your child will too.

Sometimes we’ll all meet together. Sometimes I’ll meet with you or your child alone. You’ll start speaking the same language, and discover a neurospicy life that works for your family. And the best part will be the change you see in your child.

In our time together, I’ll use art and other multisensory strategies to help your child will build awareness of their own feelings and needs. Once they can tell what’s going on with themselves, they can also tell you! Communication will get clearer, and they’ll get their needs met more often. They’ll relax when they know their family understands them.

Together you and your child can help teachers understand too. School will start to be less stressful. Keeping up will feel possible. It will get easier to find their people, and to block out the noise from everyone else. It’s hard to imagine. But it’s possible.

With art therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, and mindfulness techniques, it can get better. We’ll get there together. Click here to discover how.

How Does Art Therapy Treat ADHD and Anxiety?

Why art therapy for ADHD, autistic stress, and neurodivergence?

Words aren’t always the answer. In fact, sometimes language isn’t the clearest mode of self expression. Sometimes we’ve practiced saying the same thing so much that we’ve lost our knowledge of what’s really true. Or sometimes the struggle to find the right words is too distracting. If art therapy doesn’t feel right for you, I do other kinds of therapy too. Just ask!

What is Art Therapy?

From the American Art Therapy Association:

•Art Therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.

•Art Therapy, facilitated by a professional art therapist…is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.
