Need SPACE After the Holidays?

Family holiday gatherings amidst COVID have been particularly tricky with all the additional anxiety.

As a parent, you may worry about your child’s health more during the holidays. Or, it may be your child who is more worried about having people over this holiday season.

You may find yourself wondering: how do you manage your child’s anxieties without reinforcing their worried state?

Holiday Anxiety Meltdown

Anxiety Makes Holidays Hard for EVERYONE!

Tyler has gotten really worried about germs since COVID began. He washes his hands so many times throughout the day, but lately it’s gotten WORSE. Tyler is worried that you and dad are covered in germs. He asks you to wash your hands before you hug him, before you make his lunch, even before you change his sheets!

Your hands are so tired from the over washing. And, now it’s winter! It feels like there’s not enough lotion in the world to fix this level of cracking and dryness.

Now it’s the holidays and the in-laws are coming to stay with you for a week! How is Tyler going to manage this? There is just no way you’re going to be able to convince your mother in law to wash her hands each time she goes to touch Tyler’s things, and there is going to be a melt down!

How long can you keep going on like this?
