How do you stay connected without losing yourself? These guidelines from Robin Brannan LCMFT will keep you grounded in times of struggle.
1. Be with them.
2. Coregulate.
3. Ask for what you need.
4. Be the safety net.
3. Care for yourself too!
Remember to make space for joy.

Our series on COVID Burnout continues, with more great advice from Nicole Filipe LCMFT .
This month Nicole explains when to persist and when to call it quits, and how to tackle the stressor (not just the stress) head-on.
We also explore the roles of self care and time management in burnout prevention.
In Person Therapy for Children, Couples, and Families
We returned to our offices part-time on April 15. All therapists are offering both masked in-person and online sessions. Current clients should talk with their therapists about their preferences. New clients should call now to secure an in-person spot.
Next Month on Our Family Mental Health Blog
May is mental health month. We’ll share signs of anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and tell you how to know when your child, teen, or family needs help. We’ll also give you tips for staying connected to a partner or child who is hurting.
Every month we send a newsletter to hundreds of families on our email list. See this month’s issue here.
We don’t want our readers on the blog or social media to miss out! Click here to add your email to the list. (We will NEVER sell or share our list.) Or follow us on Facebook or Twitter to see our content when it is posted.
